Description

This vine does not wait passively for prey - it hunts. Sensing warmth and movement, the Strangler Vine lashes out with alarming speed, wrapping around creatures and constricting until life departs. Solitary vines pose little threat, but dense growths have claimed many lives.

Effects

The vine constricts with surprising strength, capable of suffocating humans. Thorns along its length inject a paralytic compound that prevents struggle. Victims are slowly absorbed as the vine feeds.

Identification

Thick, rope-like vines that twitch slightly even without wind. Covered in fine thorns. Often draped between trees at head height. Red sap bleeds when cut. Clusters of undigested bones beneath mature specimens.
