Corpseflower
Warning catalog by Poisoner-Scholar Vesper Nighthollow
Classification: Toxic Bloom
Habitat: Swamps and graveyards
Danger Level: Moderate
Description
Named for its nauseating stench of rotting flesh, the Corpseflower grows where death has enriched the soil. Its massive mottled purple bloom can reach the size of a shield. The smell attracts carrion insects, which pollinate it.
Effects
The stench alone causes nausea and disorientation. Pollen produces hallucinations and temporary blindness. Touching the flower results in blistering rashes that heal slowly and scar.
Identification
Impossible to miss - the smell announces it from great distance. Single enormous flower rising from the ground on a thick stalk. Mottled purple and red coloring resembling rotting meat. Usually surrounded by flies and beetles.
