Description

Void Wraiths are the echoes of souls that were not merely killed but entirely consumed by the Void. Unlike ghosts, which retain some connection to their former lives, Wraiths remember nothing of what they once were. They exist only to serve the darkness that unmade them.

Behavior

Wraiths serve as scouts and heralds for greater Void entities. They drift through the world seeking cracks in the Boundary, potential hosts for corruption, or simply spreading despair through their mere presence. Those who see a Wraith often report overwhelming feelings of hopelessness and the certainty that all effort is futile.

Combat

Physical weapons pass through Void Wraiths harmlessly. Only magic, blessed weapons, or sacred flames can harm them. Their touch drains warmth and hope-prolonged contact can leave permanent psychological scars.

Lore

The Conclave of Wardens believes that Wraiths can be released through specific rituals of purification, freeing whatever fragment of the original soul remains. However, such rituals are dangerous and rarely attempted.
