Description

With wingspans exceeding six feet, Venomwings dwarf ordinary bats. Their fangs drip with paralytic venom, and they hunt in coordinated swarms. A single bat poses manageable threat; a colony of hundreds means certain death for the unprepared.

Behavior

Nocturnal hunters that roost in dark places during day. They communicate through ultrasonic calls inaudible to most humanoids. Colonies defend territory aggressively, swarming intruders with overwhelming numbers.

Combat Notes

Fire and loud noises can disperse swarms temporarily. Antivenom essential for extended exploration of their territory. Torches and bright light provide some protection. Never enter their caves alone.
