Description

Thunder Elk are majestic creatures with crackling energy running through their enormous antlers. During storms, they can be seen standing on hilltops, antlers raised to the sky, seemingly drawing power from the lightning itself.

Behavior

Thunder Elk are generally peaceful grazers, but during mating season or when threatened, they become extremely aggressive. Their charge is accompanied by actual thunder, and their antlers can discharge electrical energy on contact.

Combat

Thunder Elk attack with charges and antler strikes that carry electrical damage. Metal armor provides less protection than usual, as the electricity conducts through it. Grounding oneself or using rubber-soled boots (if available) reduces the danger significantly.

Lore

The faithful of Leviathan consider Thunder Elk blessed by the Lord of Storms. Killing one without dire need is said to bring bad weather-and given Leviathans temperament, this may be more than superstition.
