Botanical study by Herbalist Thalia Greenweave
Classification: Medicinal Bark
Habitat: Riverbanks and wetlands
Rarity: Common
Description
The graceful willow tree grows wherever water flows, its trailing branches dancing in the breeze. The bark of young branches contains powerful medicine, known to healers across all cultures of Aedelore.
Properties
Willowbark serves as one of the most effective remedies for pain and inflammation. It reduces swelling in injured joints, eases the ache of old wounds, and brings relief to those suffering from bone diseases. Its effects last many hours.
Preparation
Strip bark from branches no thicker than a finger. Dry thoroughly and brew as strong tea. The taste is quite bitter. May also be chewed directly for rapid effect, though this method is harsh on the stomach.
