Sundew Giant
Warning catalog by Poisoner-Scholar Vesper Nighthollow
Classification: Carnivorous Plant
Habitat: Bogs and wetlands
Danger Level: Dangerous
Description
While ordinary sundews catch insects, the Giant Sundew of Aedelore catches far larger prey. Its sticky tentacles can immobilize creatures up to the size of a dog, slowly digesting them over days. Larger specimens have been known to trap humans.
Effects
Adhesive secretion is nearly impossible to remove without proper solvents. Digestive enzymes cause severe chemical burns. Struggle only spreads the adhesive further. Drowning in bog water often kills victims before digestion.
Identification
Large rosette of reddish leaves covered in glistening tentacles. Each tentacle tipped with sticky droplet resembling dew. Grows in open boggy areas. Often surrounded by bones of previous victims.
