Rockbadger
📜
Field observations by Ranger Warden Elara Moonshadow
Classification: Omnivore
Size: Small-Medium
Habitat: Rocky hills and mountains
Threat Level: Low
Description
Stocky and fearless, rockbadgers inhabit stone-strewn terrain throughout Aedelore. Their powerful claws excavate dens in the hardest ground, and their disposition makes even larger predators think twice before confrontation.
Behavior
Nocturnal, emerging at dusk to forage. Omnivorous - eating roots, insects, small animals, and carrion. Famously aggressive when threatened, standing ground against much larger opponents.
Ecological Role
Their extensive burrow systems provide homes for many other species. Control insect populations. Turn soil through digging. Admired for their courage despite small size.
