📜
Agricultural record by Fieldmaster Bram Thornbury
Classification: Fodder Plant
Habitat: Meadows and pastures
Uses: Livestock feed, soil improvement
Description
Three-leafed clover carpets meadows across the land, its round flower heads humming with bees throughout summer. Children search for rare four-leafed specimens, believed to bring good fortune. The plant grows low and dense.
Cultivation
Sow seeds in spring or early autumn. Clover fixes nitrogen in soil, making it invaluable for crop rotation. Mow periodically to encourage dense growth. Self-seeds readily once established.
Uses
Primary fodder for cattle, sheep, and horses. Excellent honey source - clover honey is prized for its mild flavor. Improves soil fertility when plowed under. Young leaves edible in salads.
