Description

The Barghest appears as a massive black hound with burning eyes and jaws that drip shadow. It exists partially in the spirit realm, able to become incorporeal at will. Legends claim seeing one presages death - often your own.

Behavior

Hunts alone, drawn to those marked for death or bearing great guilt. It stalks victims for days before striking. Some say it serves darker powers; others believe it is death incarnate.

Combat Notes

Silver and holy weapons most effective. Can become incorporeal to avoid attacks. Its howl induces supernatural terror - steel your mind before engaging. Running only delays the inevitable.
