Description

Born from grief and violent death, Banshees manifest as wailing spirits of women whose anguish transcended death itself. Their appearance varies from hauntingly beautiful to horrifically decayed, often shifting between states.

Behavior

Banshees are drawn to those about to die, their wail heralding coming death. Some actively cause the deaths they foresee. They haunt places connected to their mortal sorrows, unable to move on.

Combat Notes

Their wail can kill instantly - ear protection essential but not fully effective. Incorporeal, requiring magic to harm. Resolving their mortal grief can lay them to rest peacefully.
