Once a beautiful spear of silver and sapphire, the Spine of Malcath is now a twisted weapon of dark metal and corrupted crystal. It still carries the power of a king-but that king fell to the Void.

History

This spear was Malcath''s symbol of office, carried during his reign as the wise and just ruler of the Sunken City. When he fell to Zarathen''s whispers, the spear fell with him, corrupted by the same darkness that claimed its master.

Powers

The Spine grants its wielder authority over water and the creatures within it-but also carries Malcath''s corruption. Those who use it too often begin to hear whispers, just as Malcath did.

Requirements

The Spine lies at the bottom of the Lake of Shadows, guarded by Malcath himself. Retrieving it would require confronting the Lost King-and resisting the same corruption that claimed him.
