As the new year dawns, all Aedelore celebrates the triumph of light over darkness. The Festival of Dawn marks renewal and hope, with three days of feasting, gift-giving, and sacred ceremonies honoring Elarion.

Traditions

Candles lit at midnight and kept burning for three days. Exchange of gifts symbolizing hope. Temples open all hours for prayer. Old debts forgiven, feuds reconciled. Great bonfires on hilltops visible for miles.

Significance

Beyond celebration, the festival commemorates the end of the Long Dark, when the Void threatened to swallow all light. Elarion dawn and pushed back the darkness, saving the world.
