Moonpetal
Botanical study by Herbalist Thalia Greenweave
Classification: Healing Flower
Habitat: Moonlit glades and forest clearings
Rarity: Uncommon
Description
Know that the Moonpetal blooms only beneath the silver gaze of the full moon, its petals unfurling to drink the celestial light. White as fresh snow, touched with luminescent blue at its heart, this sacred flower has been gathered by healers since the First Age.
Properties
When properly prepared as a poultice or tea, Moonpetal accelerates the mending of wounds and soothes fevered brows. The flower must be harvested at the peak of moonrise, for its power wanes with the coming dawn. Thus do wise herbalists venture forth only on nights of the full moon.
Preparation
Steep three petals in spring water heated but not boiled. Add honey of the forest bee to temper the bitter undertones. For wounds, crush fresh petals with rendered fat to create a healing salve.
