Description

Eyeless and pale, Burrow Wurms tunnel through earth as fish swim through water. They sense vibration through sensitive organs along their segmented bodies. Ranging from arm-length to wagon-sized, the largest specimens collapse roads and undermine buildings.

Behavior

Attracted to vibration - walking, digging, or combat draws them. They burst from the ground to seize prey, dragging victims underground. Solitary except during mating, when multiple wurms can destabilize entire regions.

Combat Notes

Standing still may cause them to lose track of you. Hard-packed or rocky ground limits their movement. Fire drives them deeper. The larger the wurm, the more dangerous - flee from the great ones.
